Breckland in the Internet of Places
A world first!
Breckland Council wanted fun colours and for the district’s deer symbol to feature in the project logo. They called the internet of their place ‘BreckWorld’, which exists on top of the real world.
The Everything team sourced Stephen Fry to narrate an interactive heritage trail and provide voiceover for the marketing campaign.
BreckWorld has an augmented reality treasure hunt called ‘The Star Cup’ to boost footfall. Players unlock incremental rewards & discounts for local attractions.
BreckWorld runs on Version 1 of the Everything Platform. Like all places, it will be upgraded for free when Version 2 is released in Q2 2024.
When you join the Internet of Places, your app can show results for BreckWorld & vice-versa. Local results always appear first for generic searches like “plumber” or “days out”. What will you call your interactive place?
